The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, today granted an audience to the President of the UEMOA Commission, Abdoulaye Diop.
Discussions focused on the Union’s economic situation and prospects for strengthening regional integration in an international context marked by persistent tensions and structural challenges. The President of the Commission praised the resilience of Senegal’s economy, as well as the reforms undertaken to reinforce macroeconomic stability and support the country’s structural transformation.
Security issues were also addressed, through a comprehensive approach linking stability, development, and regional solidarity.
This meeting reflects the Head of State’s continued commitment to actively contributing to the dynamism of the UEMOA area and to building a stronger, more integrated, and more resilient Union.
