As the International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, approaches, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received on Friday the Women’s Association of the Presidency of the Republic, in keeping with a tradition that each year honors the commitment of the women serving within the highest institution of the State.

This meeting provided an opportunity for the Head of State to express his appreciation to those who, in offices, administrative services, technical teams, and the daily organization of institutional work, contribute with rigor, discretion, and a strong sense of duty to the proper functioning of the Presidency.

The President praised the essential role women play in the life of the Nation, recalling that their commitment often exercised behind the scenes but always decisive contributes to the strength of institutions, economic vitality, and the transmission of the values that underpin Senegal’s social cohesion.

He also emphasized that the country’s transformation and development require the full participation of all the Nation’s driving forces, particularly women, whose intelligence, energy, and talent constitute a major lever for the future.

Finally, the Head of State extended his best wishes to all the women of the Presidency, as well as to all Senegalese women, on the occasion of International Women's Day, commending their daily contribution to building an ever stronger and more united Senegal.
