79th session of the United Nations General Assembly: The Head of State expected in the United States

The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, will travel to New York from September 24 to 30, 2024, to participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This meeting, themed “Unity in Diversity,” aims to promote peace and sustainable development. This trip marks the first opportunity for the Head of State to voice Senegal’s stance on crucial global issues. Additionally, President Faye will attend the Future Summit, an initiative by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
